Transpersonal Art Therapy
ABOUT ARTIVIVE STUDIO
Thankyou for being here, my name is Andrea and among many other things, I am a Transpersonal Art Therapist based primarily in Melbourne’s North East in my beautiful home based studio.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Transpersonal Art Therapy and have extensive experience working particularly with children from 3 years of age, including neuro diverse children/young people and their families.

With a passion for sensory and creative expression I strive to blend these concepts with psychotherapy based strategies. I also have a love for the outdoors and nature-based play and exploration. In my practice I assist clients with accessing their own inner wisdom and clarity.

During challenging or difficult times or perhaps navigating profound transitions in life, at Artivive we use a gentle and curious approach to customise the best outcome for each client with the aim of attaining a more life affirming sense of self. To unlock causes for anxiety, stress, trauma or grief and reach a more fulfilling, calmer way of being and belonging.
“The good life is a process not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination”
-Carl Rogers
The Transpersonal approach.
The term “transpersonal” refers to behind the waking conscious mind (or ego/mask). At Artivive we facilitate individuals to delve beyond conscious thought to explore inner wants and needs through a range of creative modalities. Sometimes the words can’t be found to explain inner thoughts and emotions, particularly with children. Through creative expression together we can peel away the layers of past or intrusive thoughts, traumas, behaviours and anxieties that greatly affect our mental health and prevent inner contentment.

Transpersonal Art Therapy incorporates a wide range of healing strategies, from guided meditation, symbol work, dreamwork, to more hands-on medium such as clay, sand, paint, collage, craft etc. The ability to tune into individual client’s needs is the key to a more positive and harmonious path and at Artivive this is the main focus.
“We are not what happened to us, we are what we wish to become.”
-Carl Gustav Jung
